April speaks on a variety of topics, including women's health, pregnancy, post-birth and beyond, fitness.  She engages the audience with current information, inspiring stories and a touch of humor.  There have been many more speaking engagements done that are not reflected here due to time constraints.

April was the keynote speaker at the NW Doula Conference Fall 2016.  Topic: "Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Pelvic Bowl: A Physical Therapy Perspective."   


April has the privilege to regularly teach midwifery students at Bastyr University in Seattle.  She's also spoken at Portland's National College of Natural Medicine

.April is becoming a semi-regular speak at Starbucks Headquarters on perinatal and women's health issues.

April kicked off the presentations at the BabyTime Expo at the Qwest Field Event Center in Seattle on Saturday, June 28. babyexpo6-08.pngShe spoke on "Making Informed Choices in Childbirth."  Other presenters included Harvey Karp (author of Happiest Baby on the Block) and Armin Brott (author of seven classic how-to books on fatherhood). MobyWraps sponsored this event.

Whidbey Island's library system hosted two panel discussions on midwifery care on International Midwifery Day on May 5, 2008.

Cynthia Jaffe, a licensed midwife known for her compassionate care of childbearing women on Whidbey Island, headed up and organized the panel. Both panel discussions were interactive and lively, and at times provocative as the controversial book Midwives was discussed.
